Carly Fitzpatrick

PR & Marketing Strategist

After graduating with a Master’s Degree in Teaching from James Madison University, I returned home to the Philadelphia suburbs where I was the Marketing Manager at Floral Vale Spa and Salon, a small business that I had worked at since the ripe age of sixteen. Diving headfirst into a new career path, I polished my marketing skills (along with my nails) and started as an Internet Marketing Consultant at ReachLocal, a digital advertising agency in Bala Cynwyd. I shifted my expertise towards the tech industry as the Digital Marketing Manager at ALTESO, where I developed marketing and branding strategies for highly innovative SaaS startups. Since then, my experience has continued to develop from marketing strategy and management to digital advertising, public relations and event planning. There may be one less teacher in this world but in the words of Mr. Kanye West, “that’s somethin’ that the pastor don’t preach, that’s somethin’ that a teacher can’t teach.”

A recent addition to MSC Retail’s dynamic family, I am excited to dive into my role as Public Relations & Marketing Strategist. In addition to promotional marketing and brand development, my responsibilities also include event planning, media relations and content management. As the voice of MSC Retail’s social media, I am eager to continue building a uniquely innovative and well-established brand. We’re a small group with a large impact so keep an eye out for where we’ll be next and get the buzz on our social media channels (@MSC_Retail).

Not Work

Outside of MSC Retail’s vibrant walls, you can find me navigating national parks, boogying down to live music and hopping around Philly’s eclectic neighborhoods. A nature lover and exercise junkie, I like to break a sweat anywhere outdoors by running, hiking, playing soccer and volleyball and practicing yoga. I enjoy gettin’ jiggy wit it at my favorite music venues and festivals along with discovering new and emerging artists. I love exploring Philly’s unique and charming neighborhoods, especially all of the street market festivals, pop up beer gardens and countless places to wine and dine. My Utopian escapes include hanging in a hammock with a good read and sipping Malbec on my rooftop with my best friend and girlfriend, Jackie, where we make a delightfully entertaining combo known as CarJack.

Ever since I won a pickle eating contest in the eighth grade, people consider me to be kind of a big dill.
