Vice President & Director, MSC University
Having worked in higher education for ten years, it is fair to say I love college. Prior to graduating from Temple University, I had already begun my career and was working as a Community Assistant and Leasing Manager for American Campus Communities (ACC). Upon graduation, I worked my way through the ranks of ACC, eventually making my way to the corporate office where I managed on-campus development projects across the country. My experience in on-campus development (totalling over half a billion dollars) provides the foundation for my understanding of how students and universities operate. Additionally, I am active in a number of professional organizations (ICSC, Lambda Alpha International, NACAS, among others) and participate as a speaker for multiple organizations. Recently I was humbled and honored to be recognized as a Best Of Philly: 2014 Best Philadelphians “Best Real Estate Visionary”.
You know when you visit your alma mater for Homecoming and ask, “Why is campus so much cooler than it was when I was in school?” That’s the work of MSC University. As Vice President & Director of MSC University, I help redefine campuses and business improvement districts all over the country to attract students, impress alumni, retain talent and engage the community. I take my role as Philadelphia Magazine’s “Best Real Estate Visionary” very seriously…Basically, it’s our job to ensure that everyone who lives near, works at, or comes to campus has a unique and memorable experience.
I live with my wife, Emily, and our rescue dog, Cassidy—with whom we spend entirely too much time—in Center City Philadelphia. I fancy myself an “above average” home cook, and I also enjoy exploring new restaurants in our neighborhood. I have an affinity for bowties, and while I don’t always have a beard, I prefer to sport my facial hair in the the summer.
I have a medium to large collection of exotic animal heads made from papier-mâché. And they all have names…
