COO & General Counsel
With both undergraduate and law degrees from George Washington University, I bring over 25 years of experience in real estate law, development and brokerage. I most recently served as General Counsel of The Goldenberg Group and previously held executive level positions at Fameco Real Estate, and subsequently through acquisition, CBRE, Inc. Prior to embarking on a career in brokerage and development, I was a partner at the law firm of Schnader Harrison Segal and Lewis, LLC.
Throughout my career, I have successfully negotiated transactions for over 10 million square feet of real estate valued at over $1 billion. In addition to my expertise on legal matters relating to retail leasing, property acquisitions and dispositions, financing and general corporate governance, I have also been responsible for managing and directing personnel and leading a retail brokerage business. In addition, I have coordinated site due diligence and permitting issues, supervised entitlement efforts and negotiated and drafted agreements of sale, reciprocal easement agreements and lease and sale agreements for ground-up “power center” and supermarket-anchored developments.
At MSC Retail, I am responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company while planning and creating the structure necessary for its long-term aggressive growth. Alongside the firm’s Managing Principal, Douglas Green, and the company’s Founding Principal & CEO, Michael Salove, I am creating operational efficiencies and promoting better synergies between the firm’s unique and diverse silos. My unique combination of legal, executive-level management and brokerage experience enables me to create value for both the team at MSC Retail and its clients.
In my spare time, I still chase my youth by seeing as many Dead & Company shows as possible. When not touring or working, I spend all of my free time with my true love, my wife Julie, doing whatever.
Before joining MSC Retail, I ate a breakfast burrito and a large diet coke from McDonald's for breakfast every day for the last 12 years.
