Stanton Brown

Senior Vice President

I hung my hat and wore out my sneakers at Happy Valley in the late 80’s, and joined MSC somewhere between the age of big hair and the Grunge Era. Since then, I have completed over 2 Million SF in transactions. This includes a 4-story, 80,000 SF urban retail redevelopment project in Center City Philadelphia with an end product involving the placement of national retailers such as West Elm, Lucky Strike, and Dick Blick Art Supplies. In addition to this project, my tenant roster includes retailers such as AMC Theatres, Jos A. Bank, Express, Shoe Carnival, Kicks USA, Five Guys Burgers, Lands’ End, and many more.

I am a 30 year veteran with a wide range of experience in commercial real estate. I joined MSC in 1993 and have been a stable force in the industry since. I handle over a dozen retailers and their multi store rollout programs, such as Five Guys, JoAnn Stores, and Shoe Carnival. From boutique stores to big box brands, mom-and-pop local shops to national high-end tenants too such as See Eyewear and Kate Spade, I represent retailers on all ends of the spectrum. I am most proud of the longstanding and committed relationships (and friendships) I have built.

Not Work

I am a native Philadelphian and reside in the Society Hill section of the city. I am a fan of all types of travel and can go from touring a historic city in Europe to sharing laughs and cocktails with friends at the beach. I embrace being a city dweller and enjoy spending my Saturdays walking the city discovering new neighborhoods, shopping the Italian market or enjoying a cup of coffee while people watching. I love to cook, especially creating new soups. Lastly, exercise and a healthy lifestyle are a big component to my daily regiment, but so are chocolate and delicious baked goods.

I was nicknamed “Stan Brown The Class Clown” by my second grade teacher and have continued to live up to this reputation by bringing laugher to co-workers, clients, friends and family. I am always the first to greet a stranger, and I (almost) never forget a face or name.
